First Aid at Work
This is the HSE approved First Aid at Work Course. A 3 day course designed for businesses with more than 50 employees or where the risks identified in your First Aid needs assessment are greater than those requiring an Emergency First Aid at Work course. This course is normally run over 3 days, the 3rd day being an assessment day with a written examinatin and practical assessment by an Independent Assessor. These courses can be run at your own premises or we run open courses for individuals
Emergency First Aid at Work
The classic one day Emergency First Aid at Work course also HSE approved. It’s suitable for the majority of businesses where the risks of injury are low. Again these risks should be identified in your first aid needs assessment. This course is run by a single trainer and is continuous assessment and can be run at your own premises or at an independent location.
Paediatric First Aid
A 2 day First Aid course designed for Nursery nurses, Child minders and carers of children and infants dealing with injuries and childhood ailments. This course is a requirement for Nursery Nurses. It can be run at your own premises or indeed can be run at other locations as an open course for individuals. Please just ask.
Paediatric Emergency First Aid
A one day course designed for nursery assistants to deal with emergency illnesses and minor injuries. A requirement for Nursery Assistants and other Admin staff. Open courses are organised if you have small numbers of staff. Please see our course diary.
Children’s First Aid
A one day First Aid course designed for parents, grandparents and individuals who have care of children, dealing with childhood injuries and complaints. This course can be run at small venues and other locations as an open course again, please just ask.
Outdoor First Aid
A 2 day First Aid course designed with the requirements of the outdoor industry in mind. The course is required for all outdoor instructors by SAPOE (Scottish Advisory Panel on Outdoor Education) It is approved by all National Governing Bodies as the industry standard for First Aid.
Day 2 of the course can be made sport specific by the inclusion of scenarios involved in the particular sport, eg Snowsports, Mountain Biking, Mountain Leading, The course by its very nature is intensly practical and delivered by an experienced Expedition and Mountain Leader, who is also a Ski Instructor and Mountain bike Leader, with 30 years experience in the Public sector. The certificate issued is valid for 3 years. The course can be run as a 2 day course or modularly over a number of days, Courses are run regularly at home and abroad, please call us to discuss your requirements as a club a business or as an individual. We also run open courses for individuals.
We will travel anywhere within reason and regularly travel to the Alps and provide First Aid Training to Ski Schools for their Instructors
Open Outdoor First Aid Course
Our courses are practical, relate to your chosen activity and are in depth.
Outdoor practical day including realistic scenarios, Our numbers are maximised at 14 and our minimum is 6. We run Open courses at our own venues. Please contact us for further details.

Watersport First Aid
A 1 day First Aid course to the RYA syllabus suitable for Sailing and Dinghy instructors based in a club environment. This course is run over one day, generally at a location of your choice and is accepted by the RYA as a 3 year refresher or as a course for new instructors
